2018 Back Block Shiraz

Harvested from 70 year old vines in the heart of the Swan Valley at Chapel Farm Estate.
 
The 2018 Back Block Shiraz is a medium-bodied wine with sweet cherry, savoury notes & a hint of violets. It is complex & jammy with dusty tannins. The Shiraz has a smooth, lingering finish & aftertaste.
The 2018 Back Block Shiraz was harvested at optimal baume, crushed and fermented. Fermentation was car-ried out in both traditional open fermenters and stainless steel tanks. The wine was then transferred to French & American oak hogsheads where it was further aged for 18 months.
This exceptional wine should be enjoyed with rare roast-ed venison, succulent beef cheeks or a marinated lamb dish.
